ICONECT, a digital document archiving platform company, today announced that its authorization for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is in progress with Innovative Discovery of Arlington, VA. The company expects to achieve full authorization for its iCONECT-XERA platform for secure web-based access to its document management feature by Q3 2019. It will then be one of only a handful of platforms that are available in a secure FedRAMP-hosted environment.
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and monitoring for cloud-based products and services. Its authorization process includes an in-depth examination of the solution’s data security and data governance capabilities, as well as the security practices of its administrative services and logging capabilities. To achieve this, iCONECT is working with Innovative Discovery under the supervision of the FedRAMP Program criteria and has undergone an extensive scrutiny of security process implementation and rigorous auditing of its platform and processes by outside consultants. The FedRAMP status will allow Federal government agencies to leverage the power of the iCONECT document and multi-media review technology.
