iCONECT, developers of the visually rich and intuitively simple XERA e-discovery software, today announced the latest release of XERA®. The release takes XERA’s already market-leading customization and visualization technology another giant leap forward.
This release of iCONECT-XERA includes a number of new features designed to make it easier to customize the product to a specific look-and-feel. This allows law firms and legal service providers to easily create corporate branded portals, specific to the firm and/or the project. “Users today expect customization and personalization, and we want to help them feel like they are working in their own environment,” says Iram Arras, Vice President, Product Strategy at iCONECT. “Administrators can now customize XERA’s look and feel by selecting a theme, a few colors, as well as insert their firm logo. Firms can set up multiple client environments on a single system and it only takes a few clicks.”

The upgraded XERA also improves the ability of legal teams to visualize data sets using conceptual clusters. It intuitively displays the concepts from similar documents in a way that better illustrates the full spectrum of concepts, along with the number of documents associated with each concept. “XERA now includes a modern chart, called a ‘mosaic,’ that makes it very easy for users to understand the type of data within a database,” adds Arras.
Also added is the ability to organize tiles in groups. “We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback about our tiles, which make it easier for users to find information,” says Ian Campbell, President & CEO at iCONECT. “Finding and understanding information is paramount for our clients and this new release is designed to make it easier to do both.”
Earlier this month, iCONECT also announced its integrated analytics program. All new iCONECT-XERA licenses incorporate XERA’s full suite of analytics tools, including predictive coding, allowing clients to use analytics on an unlimited amount of data, across all users and on all projects—without the additional per-gigabyte charges of other review products—providing much needed predictability to project budgets.
